Roberts Hawaii told KITV Thursday night that it has fired the tour bus driver that was involved in a deadly crash this week that left a man driving an SUV dead.

Before the fatal collision on Oahu's Windward side on Monday, bus driver Steve Oshiro crashed into a city bus on the same day, KITV has learned.

Friends of the man who was killed when his SUV collided with the Roberts Tour bus want to know why the tour bus driver was still on the road.

Corey Voss' (pictured, right) Toyota SUV was severely damaged after a Roberts Hawaii motor coach crossed a centerline and crashed into it in Kahaluu. Voss died at the scene, leaving behind his wife and unborn baby.

"The wife Asa is like a sister. We are really close. Everybody's sad," family friend Stella Lei said. "I don't know why the company let him keep going -- keep driving. It's not safe."

The company that runs the city's The Bus system, Oahu Transit Systems, confirmed that one of its buses was bumped near the corner of Beretania and Punahou streets early Monday morning.

OTS said there were passengers on the bus, but no one was injured and damages were minor. The bus was delayed for about an hour while OTS conducted an investigation, officials said.

The day after the fatal crash, Roberts Hawaii Managing Director Robert Moore told KITV that it is company policy to test its drivers after any collision.

It is not known if Oshiro was tested after the first collision. Roberts Hawaii won't say, citing its ongoing investigation.

Police said that after the fatal crash Oshiro refused a breath and blood test even after he was arrested.

"Change the policy. Make it never happen again. This cannot happen again. They broke the family, killed people," Lei said.

Voss' friends and family are wondering if the tragedy could have been avoided.
