The lanes were reopened to traffic at 6:30 a.m.Emergency crews said that when they arrived at the accident scene, one of the vehicles, a sport utility vehicle, was fully engulfed in flames.Renee Champ, 20, of Salt Lake, was driving her 2001 Ford Explorer in the eastbound direction in the westbound lanes, police said. The SUV was in the far left lane at the time.Chikako Iwakiri, 40 of Kalihi, was driving a 1996 Nissan Sentra in the same lane, but in the westbound direction, police said."As they approached each other both cars tried to swerve to avoid the impact.
