As Hawaii honored its soldiers on Veterans Day, one man said he wants to honor the soldiers of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with a permanent memorial.

Allen Hoe wants the veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan to be buried together at the Hawaii State Veterans' Cemetery in Kaneohe with a memorial to their sacrifice.

Hoe's son, Nainoa, died in Afghanistan and is currently buried among the veterans of other wars.

In addition to the physical memorial, an interactive Web site memorial with information about the people killed has also been proposed, Maj. Gen. Robert Lee said.

The project is still in the planning stages. It's unknown if it will be built but, according to Hoe, everywhere he goes he finds strong support for it.
