Court Grants Kamehameha Schools More Time To File Appeal

HONOLULU -- Kamehameha Schools was granted more time to file its appeal to the 9th Circuit Court.The court decided Kamehameha's admissions policy was illegal last week, but the school wants a larger panel of judges to review the case.Now that Kamehameha has more time, no other major rulings are expected before mid-September.Meanwhile, the unidentified student who is challenging the Hawaiian-only policy will not be allowed to enroll at Kamehameha.
