2005 HONOLULU -- Maui police are investigating the homicide of a man whose body was found with gunshot wounds on a hiking trail off Kahekili Highway.A hiker discovered the body near Nakalele Point in the Kahukoloa area Saturday afternoon.Investigators say the man died from multiple gunshot wounds.Police said the victim is 44-years-old. He was a homeless man from Lahaina. Authorities are not releasing his name until relatives have been notified.Police said the man was killed between 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and noon on New Year's Day.
