Police arrested former Miss Hawaii USA Tiffini Hercules at her Kailua home on drug charges.
Tiffini Hercules, 29, was arrested on two counts of drug dealing: possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt. Police said Hercules dealt crystal methamphetamine and rock cocaine.

Hercules was transported in shackles from the Kailua substation to the main station downtown.

"It's not something you'd call user quantity. That's a pretty good, a fair amount of drugs that we seized today," Honolulu Police Department Lt. John McCarthy said.

Police said they found about a quarter ounce of crystal methamphetamine, or about $800, with Hercules' belongings. Officers said the plastic bags and scale that she had indicated the drugs was for more than her own personal use.

Police also arrested her husband, John Limahai Jr., for drug dealing and possession.

A search warrant was executed on a home on Paulele Street in Kailua. Hercules had been staying there for the past three months, police said.

Neighbors said they suspected drug activity and saw many people coming and going from the home. One neighbor said she's relieved police busted the home even though she never called police to complain.

"We need to keep those traffickers out of our neighborhood, especially for our children," neighbor Pat Sua said.

Police said public help was crucial to the operation. Police investigated the residents of the home for about a month before conducting the raid early Tuesday morning. Police are still searching for two brothers they say live at the home.

In 1998, Hercules won the title of Miss Hawaii USA. She then went on to compete in the national Miss USA contest.

"It's proof that drugs hit every level of life. You've got Miss Hawaii, you've got everybody, everybody is susceptible to drugs," McCarthy said.
