HONOLULU -- Maui police arrested a 25-year-old officer Monday after he was indicted for attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and extortion.

Last month, Officer Aaron Won allegedly took a 27-year-old Lahaina resident to jail after she refused his demand for sexual favors during a traffic stop.

The alleged victim said that when she refused, she was arrested for several traffic offenses and taken to the Napili sub-station. The alleged victim said there was no sexual contact and that the officer was in uniform and driving a police patrol car at the time.

Won's bail has been set at $100,000.
