67-Year-Old Singer Given Six-Year Suspended Sentence

LOS ANGELES -- Popular Hawaii singer, Cecilio Rodriguez, is sentenced after pleading no contest to sexually molesting two young sisters in the 1990s.
Cecilio Rodriguez, 67, was given a six-year suspended state prison sentence, the district attorney's office said.Rodriguez had been accused of sexually molesting the first victim between 1996 and 1998, and similar charges of sexually molesting her sister between 1997 and 1999, deputy district attorney Adrian Roxas said.The crimes were discovered in 2010 when one of the women revealed the assault to her father after refusing to visit Rodriguez.A judge ordered Rodriguez to spend one year in jail and complete 52 weeks of sexual offender counseling, as well as five years of probation. If Rodriguez violates probation, he would face the full six-year term in state prison.
