Maui police arrested and charged three people in connection with a robbery in Kahului on Sunday.
At around 1 a.m. Monday, police responded to the intersection of Hobron Avenue and Amala Place.
Police say the victim was confronted by three people in a vehicle. One of the male passengers, later identified as Wilsand Sardinha, exited the vehicle and confronted the victim.
Investigators say the victim had prior issues with Sardinha and left the area. Sardinha followed the victim and pointed a handgun to the victim's head and demanded the victim's belongings, according to police.
The two people left in the vehicle were later identified as Anthony Ayonayon and Aaralyn Decambra. The vehicle stopped in the roadway and picked up Sardinha, who had the victim's belongings.
The suspects were arrested during a traffic stop in the area of Haleakala Highway and Hana Highway.
All three suspects were charged with robbery in the first degree. Bail was set at $20,000 for each suspect.
