About 150 Kaneohe Marines have gotten orders to deploy to the Middle East for the war on terrorism.

Approximately one-third of those Marines just got back from that area a few months ago. Now, they're packing up again.

KITV spoke to one married Marine who is leaving her husband and kids behind.

The Marine Corps brought out a few of the deploying Marines to meet the press beside the Iwo Jima Memorial. Several are members of the 3rd Radio Battalion. They perform communications support and electronic warfare.

The Marines don't know or won't say where exactly they're heading, except that it's to the Middle East. Fifty of the Marines got back from Iraq about six months ago.

It's just another deployment for Sgt. Michelle Maceaastacio and her husband, Sgt. Pedro Maceaastacio.

Michelle is being deployed while Pedro is staying home with two boys: one is 2 years old and one is 10 months old.

"It's pretty tough right now," Michelle said. "I just see the things that they do and I know I'll be missing some time away from them while they're still small."

Pedro wishes he were going instead of Michelle.

"I'd much rather have my boys stay home with their mom and have me go out there than for her to go out there," Pedro said. "The danger's a concern for everybody, even for those who aren't married, who have other family members out there."

As always, when Marines deploy, there is a level of uncertainty as to when they'll come back. Officials will only say this deployment will last six to eight months.
