Police found Kevin Gonsalves, 33, at a Nanakuli home at around 1 p.m. He was found hiding under a bed, detectives said. There were no weapons found and Gonsalves put up no resistance.

"About 1:20 this afternoon our SWAT team along with other officers entered a home in Nanakuli, a search was conducted and we found Mr. Gonsalves hiding under a bed," Police Chief Lee Donohue said.

Donohue said there were three other people and a baby in the home they found Gonsalves in, but the chief could not say what their relationship is to him. They brought them in for questioning at the Kapolei Police Station.

Police found Gonsalves on a tip, a detective said. Gonsalves is believed to have been on the run since the shooting Jan. 7.

"We followed up on every tip there was. That we're thankful for. We're thankful this ended without any violence," Donohue said.

Gonsalves is considered a suspect in the shooting that left two dead and another man hospitalized. Gonsalves has a record of 14 convictions, including misdemeanor theft, harassment and drug charges. He's being held on $1 million bail.

Police arrested two other men in connection with the shooting. Police charged Rodney Joseph Jr., 35, with murder in the first-degree, which is the murder of more than one person in the same incident. A second suspect, Joseph's cousin, Ethan Motta, 34, of the Big Island faces the same charge.

Romelius Corpuz, 40, died of a gunshot to the head. Lepo Taliese Utu, 44, died of multiple gunshots. Tino Sao, 42, remains hospitalized.
