With the Powerball jackpot estimated at more than $210 million, gamblers hope to ring in the new year with CHA-CHING
It is currently the largest lottery jackpot in the world.

And as more tickets are sold, the Powerball jackpot will grow.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing will be worth an estimated $210 million. Will you buy tickets?

If won tonight, the prize -- which has a cash value of $113.9 million as it stands now -- would be the fifth-largest jackpot in Powerball history, and would rank as the seventh-largest lottery jackpot in history.

And record jackpots mean big profit for the states' lotteries.

If you win, and you want the entire $210 million, it would be paid to you in annual installments over 30 years.

It's the second time this year that Powerball has crossed over the $200 million mark.

Powerball is played in the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 23 states (Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virgina, Wisconsin).

Meanwhile, there is still no word on the identity of the winner of the $155 million Mega Millions jackpot.

The one winning ticket for the multistate lottery was sold at the Quick Shop Food Mart in South Euclid, Ohio -- a suburb of Cleveland.

The shop owner said he found out he'd sold the winning ticket when he showed up for work Wednesday. Jagdish Shah said his parking lot was full of reporters and TV station trucks. Shah says at first he thought something was wrong.

A spokesman for the Ohio lottery said Shah will receive $100,000 and a cruise for selling the winning ticket.

Mega Millions officials said the ticket was the only one to match all five numbers and the Mega Ball number.

The buyer has opted for an immediate cash payout and will receive $90 million before taxes.

In addition to the grand prize winner, 27 players matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball number. They will receive second prizes of $175,000 each. Another 104 players matched four numbers, plus the Mega Ball number -- good for $5,000 each.

Mega Millions is played in 11 states.
