A clogged pipe caused a sewage spill Thursday at Kuhio Park Terrace, city officials said.

Officials were alerted to the spill at 10:45 a.m. About 3,250 gallons of untreated sewage overflowed at KPT and spilled into Kalihi Stream. The stream feeds into Keehi Lagoon.

A Department of Environmental Services crew found rags and debris clogged an 8-inch terra cotta pipe. The workers cleaned the area and notified the state Department of Health.
