Fire crews were called to a building fire on West Elua Way in Ewa Beach at about 8:45 p.m. Monday. A townhome in the Iroquois Point Naval Housing was damaged by the blaze.

When firefighters arrived, they found the fire confined to a bedroom on the second floor. HFD spokesperson Terry Seelig said smoke and heat caused damage to the room.

Seelig also said the investigation will most likely be turned over to a federal fire investigator to determine the cost of the damage and the fire's cause.
