HONOLULU -- A man is dead after the black truck he was driving crashed into a telephone pole near 85-621 Waianae Valley Road at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday.According to the report by Emergency Medical Services, a call was placed on a possible motor vehicle collision.When paramedics arrived, they found a truck that had crashed into a telephone pole. Once EMS personnel made contact with the patient, they determined he had no visible signs of life.The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:05 p.m.Police said the driver was a 23-year-old man from Waianae.Witnesses said he was speeding when he crashed into the pole.
