Flags To Fly Half-Staff To Honor Soldier

Ewa Beach Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

U.S. and Hawaii flags will fly at half-staff at state, county and federal buildings next Tuesday to honor an Ewa Beach soldier killed in Afghanistan in February.

Pfc. J.R. Salvacion died in an insurgent attack on Feb. 21. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion 12th Infantry Regiment, in Fort Carson, Colo.

Burial will follow a mass at the National Cemetery of the Pacific on Tuesday.
