HONOLULU -- A local Coast Guard officer is honored for an act of heroism.Petty Officer William Horne received the "Coast Guard Medal" for rescuing three children and two adults from a burning truck.Horne was off duty in Guam when he saw the family in trouble.He was honored in a special ceremony in Waikiki this week.
