HONOLULU -- The family of a missing woman is offering a $10,000 reward for information that would lead to finding Laura Vogel on Maui.Vogel disappeared Feb. 21 while on a camping trip near the Pauwela Lighthouse area of Maui's north shore. Her family said Vogel's last communication was a text message saying she was "meeting all the locals."The reward was put together with donations from family and friends of the 43-year-old science teacher."We as a family strongly believe, just based on the last text message Laura sent, that somebody knows what happened that night, and maybe an individual or multiple individuals and we want to make it as attractive as possible for someone to come forward with information that can help us find our sister," Vogel's brother, Tim, said.A group of volunteer divers spent Friday searching for Vogel in the waters below the lighthouse.Maui police are still investigating the case, which they said is suspicious. Anyone with information can call Maui Crime Stoppers at 242-6966.The family is accepting tips about the case at findlauravogel@gmail.com.
