State Takes Second Look At Hurricane Relief Funds

Bill Restores About Half Of Furlough Fridays Next Year

The state takes another look Wednesday at using Hurricane relief money, to reduce the number of furlough Fridays for schools.

On Monday, the House passed a budget bill restoring about half of the 17 furlough Fridays next year without tapping relief funds.

Some said the emergency money is the key to fixing the budget gap.
