Three thousand Hawaii residents learned on Tuesday their prescription drug provider jeopardized their health and safety, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Medicaid terminated its contract for Fox Insurance Company Tuesday, claiming it denied its enrollees coverage to critical medications.

Starting Wednesday, those affected will be able to choose a new prescription drug program, while still getting access to their medications.
