Bed Bath and Beyond has announced plans for its first retail location in Hawaii.

The company will build a 65,000 square foot store in the Pearlridge Shopping Center in the location formerly housed by Circuit City.

The company sells a variety of merchandise with a heavy focus on linens, cookware and home goods.

A company spokeswoman says the Pearlridge location will be one of its larger stores since most Bed Bath and Beyond locations range from 23,000 to 50,000 square feet.

The store is expected to open late this summer.
