Police in Honolulu are searching for three people who they said stole a generator from a Windward Oahu shopping center and attacked a security guard.

Investigators said the 29-year-old victim was providing overnight security for a fireworks tent at the Keolu Shopping Center in Kailua on Dec. 20, when he told police the power to the tent went out.

The man told officers that he saw two men place the tent's generator into the back of a pickup truck and then take off.

When the guard tried to pursue the truck in his car, he said he was rammed and a bolt cutter was thrown into his windshield shattering it with the guard seated inside, police said.

Authorities said the culprits abandoned the truck and the generator and are still at-large.

The first man was described as being in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

The other man was described as also in his 20s, but about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing about 180-pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

Police said the third person wanted in connection with the incident is a woman. There was no description provided for her.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Honolulu Police Department at 808-529-3111.
