Son Of President's Friend Gets Injured

HONOLULU -- The president wrapped up about five hours of golf at the Luana Hills Country Club Monday without finishing the full 18 holes.The first family has been at the Presidential Compound all night.It was a full day, but not without some drama. There was a minor beach accident at the presidential compound Monday morning that required an ambulance.It left the first family's vacation home Monday morning, with the son of the president's friend.Eric Whitaker was among those golfing with the president at the Luana Hills Country Club when they got the emergency call about Whitaker's son.The president and Whitaker were among those who abruptly suspended their game and raced back to the presidential compound.The White House said Whitaker's son suffered a "run of the mill beach injury" that did not require stitches.The president and his party resumed their golf game.Earlier Monday morning, the president played some tennis with his wife Michelle at the Kailua Racquet Club.There was no word on who won.
