Power Outage Hits Hundreds Of Homes
Crews Think Wind Caused Service Interruption

HONOLULU -- A power outage left about 1,200 Honolulu homes in the dark on Thursday.Officials with Hawaiian Electric said that the outage started at about 5 p.m. and stretches from the Salt Lake area into Kalihi.Crews said they're working to fix the problem but expect the outage to continue for a couple more hours.Officials said they believe wind was responsible for the outage.Stay with KITV and KITV.com for the latest information.
