HONOLULU -- Steady rain on the island of Kauai has created hazardous driving conditions and forced police to shut down several roads and bridges.Police said Hauaala Road in Keapana was closed early Thursday because of flooding.A 500-pound boulder fell on Waewae Road in Kalaheo, making it impassable.Police reported heavy ponding on the Kapaa Bypass Road, Kuamoo Road in Wailua Homesteads and at the junction of Weliweli and Ala Kinoiki roads in Koloa.Hanalei Bridge was also closed early Thursday.
