Police in Honolulu said Kapahulu Avenue is closed in both directions between Kaimuki Avenue and Harding Avenue because of a utility pole that is leaning.

The Honolulu Police Department said a vehicle hit the pole at about 4:38 a.m. Friday, damaging it.

HPD said Hawaiian Electric Company crews need to take a look at it before it can be safe to open the road.

There is no timetable on when the road will be reopened or if any injuries were suffered in the wreck.
