HONOLULU -- A 22-year-old man was critically injured Monday after falling from the top of a 40-foot tree in Princeville, Kauai County officials said.

The victim, a Kilauea resident, was trimming a eucalyptus tree when he fell at about 11:45 a.m.

Firefighters and paramedics treated the victim and took him to Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
