Maryann Bray was initially convicted of the slaying of Larry Hasker, 20. During the trial, Bray denied pulling the trigger and said her ex-husband scared her into a murderous crime spree.

Bray's ex-husband, William Acker, testified against her during the trial.

Under cross-examination, Acker admitted he has lied under oath about the case before when he claimed he was the killer.

Bray and Acker were also convicted of killing another man in California.

Another jury found Bray guilty of Hasker's death in 1982.
