The top-sail schooner "Privateer Lynx" arrived in Honolulu Thursday night, finishing the 2009 Transpacific Yacht Race.

The ship set sail from San Pedro, Calif., on June 29.

From July 21 to 30, the public will have the opportunity to tour the 122-foot square schooner when it docks in Ala Wai Harbor. The schooner is modeled after the "Lureline," the winner of the first Transpacific Yacht Race in 1906. The boat will then dock in Ko Olina where the public will have the chance to go on a sailing tour.

The "Lynx" travels over 7,000 miles a year to ports all along the West Coast and Hawaii. It serves as a museum of early maritime history.
