Developing news this morning -- as two businesses are robbed at gunpoint - overnight. KITV4's Nana Ohkawa is live at the most recent one -- on Kapahulu Avenue. Nana? Good morning, There have been two armed robberies back to back early this morning. Police just left the scene Both suspects described as one man wearing a black mask and black hoody. The first armed robbery happened in Mililani around 2:30 this morning. Police say the man had a gun. He robbed the Island Mini Mart of Kipapa Drive. He was last seen there running across the street-- toward the McDonald's. I spoke to two girls who walk to that store each night around that time. The next robbery just an hour later at 3:30 at the Tesoro off Kapahulu Avenue. we spoke to the cashier inside. She said the man came into the store pointed a gun at her and told her she had 20 seconds. He gave her a bag to fill with cash. She made it in time and he left. She was terrified --a first time she's dealt with a robbery. He was last seen fleeing down williams street. There was a man in the store at the time who was being interviewed. There are surveillance cameras inside the store but unclear if he was caught on camera. He did get away with an undisclosed amount of money. no injuries. police say they are not sure if it is the same guy or group of people doing these robberies. It may be a copy cat.
