Three hairdressers chased and captured two young men who police said stole one of their vehicles in Aiea, police said.

Tara Madijanon, Jennie Honda and Vera Close are hair stylists. They run Desire Salon and Spa in Aiea. Madijanon left her van in front of the shop and two young men tried to steal it, she said.

The ladies gave chase. Madijanon kicked off her heels, ran after them, barefoot down Kamehameha Highway. When the stolen van stopped at a light she grabbed the driver.

"I opened the door and his arm was over here so I pulled him like this and I jumped up on him threw him out of the car then I jumped on the driver," Madijanon said. "I was kicking, kicking his foot because he was on the gas pedal."

Skin care specialist Honda said she also got in a few licks.

"They're kind of laughing at me like I'm a girl. 'Yeah, what are you going to do?' Honda said laughing.

"I go to the passenger side and I grabbed the guy and he had this really confused look," Madijanon said.

The men ran, but the ladies would not give up.

"He kept looking at me going like 'She's still behind me!' I picked up the Pepsi bottle and chucked it at him and hit him as hard as I could in the back," Close said.

Probably lucky for the would be carjackers the police showed up before the ladies could hurt them too badly. Police arrested two men Brandon Gantise, 20, and James Robin, 21, who had an outstanding warrant.

The hairdressers had a message for them.

"We got the last laugh when you realized you got your butt kicked by three women," Honda said.

"You got your butt kicked by three ladies that you thought we're going to do anything. Now you're going to jail," Madijanon said.

The ladies said as long as you do not try to steal their car, they will treat you nice at their salon.
