HONOLULU -- An 80-year-old Oahu woman who won a $1.3 million jackpot at a Minnesota casino this week has been checked into a hospital, her family said.

Rebecca Berry hit a "Wild Cherry" dollar slot machine at the Mystic Lake Casino on Monday night. Hours later, she was checked into a Minnesota hospital. She was placed in intensive care, her family said.

Berry was visiting family in Minneapolis. She said she planned to quit work when she returned home.

Berry worked as a secretary for U.S. District Judge Samuel King for more than 50 years.
