Authorities on Tuesday identified a teenaged girl killed in a car crash in Kaimuki last night Dallas K. Arias, of Honolulu.

The medical examiner's office said Arias, 18, died from blunt force injuries to her head.

The crash happened shortly before 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of 7th and Kilauea avenues when a car disregarded a stop sign and collided into another vehicle, police said.

The second vehicle then broad-sided two parked cars in a private driveway.

A man in the first vehicle was not injured in the crash. His passenger was Arias, who was not wearing a seat belt, police said. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police arrested the 21-year-old driver on a charge of negligent homicide and an outstanding criminal warrant.

A woman in the other vehicle was not injured.

Speed and alcohol are not factors in this crash, police said.
