His daughter, Eun Joo Lee, said her father is fragile. She traveled to Oahu from her home in San Jose, Calif., to try to help find him.

Her mother last saw Daniel Lee on June 5 at the couple's Kukui Gardens apartment when he said he was going hiking, Eun Joo Lee said. Daniel Lee returned home that night, but was not there the next morning, she said.

Daniel Lee suffers from medical problems that require medication, his daughter said.

"I have lived here all my life, and one thing I learned about is the value of family. That's what Hawaii really stands for and that's ohana, and I pray that people will just extend themselves and keep an eye out for him," Eun Joo Lee said.

Lee is of Korean ancestry. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes.

Police said they do not suspect foul play.
