OAHU, Hawaii -- A teenager apparently drowned after running into trouble at Shark's Cove on Oahu's north shore Friday.

Emergency officials said bystanders pulled the boy from the water shortly before 6 p.m.

Paramedics treated him and transported him to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
