Former University of Hawaii quarterback Timmy Chang was arrested Thursday on a robbery charge, according to the police report.

Police took the former U.H. star into custody after a 23-year-old woman reported that Chang stole her camera.

The alleged robbery happened in the Pearlridge area in June. Authorities said the woman was videotaping a brawl involving Chang. Chang then took the camera from her and threw it on top of a nearby roof.

The 27-year-old Saint Louis graduate was booked on one count of second-degree robbery and released pending further investigation.

As a Warrior, Chang set NCAA records for passing attempts, completions, total offensive yards and interceptions. He recently retired from professional football after stints in the Canadian Football League and numerous NFL tryouts.
