Officials: Water To Be Shut Down Around Break On Lusitania St.

Crews with the Board of Water Supply said they are fixng a 16-inch water main break in Honolulu Wednesday.

The break was reported at 4:30 a.m. and occurred at 1925 Lusitania St. BWS sent a water wagon to that address for anyone without water.

Officials said crews are working to isolate the main break by shutting down water at and around the break with as little impact to the public as possible. Lusitana is closed between Auwaiolimu Street and Pauoa Road.

BWS said the break affected only 10 homes. However, residents in nearby apartments told KITV that they suffered a drop in water pressure.
