Small Earthquake Rattles Maui

No Injuries, Damage Reported

An earthquake rattled the island of Maui on Sunday evening.

The magnitude 3.3 temblor was reported about 8:39 p.m. about 3 miles southwest of Haleakala Summit. No tsunami was generated.

The minor quake rocked Maui for about 20 seconds.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that "it took awhile to find the location of the quake because it was so minimal."

Maui police said no injuries or damage have been reported.
