New Miss Hawaii Crowned

Raeceen Woolford, Miss Ko Olina, Wins 2009 Pageant

A new Miss Hawaii was crowned Saturday night.

Raeceen Woolford, formerly Miss Ko Olina, won the coveted scholarship competition, beating out 29 other contestants from across the state.

Woolford is a graduate of University of Hawaii Manoa and a former Raimbow Wahine volleyball player.

The Iolani High School graduate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Studies and plans on using the scholarship to help her with her Master's Degree in public health in order to become a physician.
