Police Want Help Tracking Down Burglars

Big Island police asked for the public's help in finding the thieves who stole 100 football jerseys.

The theft was reported on Monday.

Kona patrol officers responded to a call about a burglary at Konawaena High School's locker room. Someone stole about 100 green and white football jerseys worth about $8,000, officials said.

Police asked that anyone with information about the theft call Detective Scott Kurashige at 326-4646, extension 265, call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311 or make anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
