2009 HONOLULU -- Big Island police asked for the public's help in finding the thieves who stole 100 football jerseys.The theft was reported on Monday.Kona patrol officers responded to a call about a burglary at Konawaena High School's locker room. Someone stole about 100 green and white football jerseys worth about $8,000, officials said.Police asked that anyone with information about the theft call Detective Scott Kurashige at 326-4646, extension 265, call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311 or make anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
