HONOLULU -- One of the two people killed in a Makiki house fire Thursday is a man featured in a KITV news story, his son confirmed.Larry Fair, 58, was an entrepreneur who started a livestreaming video online wedding business.Fire investigators have begun trying to understand what happened in the overnight fire. The hill side home blaze lit up the sky. The owner of the multilevel home rented out rooms to at least five tenants in addition to her own family.Fair's son, Joshua, stopped by the site on Friday. He was still reeling from the news he received from the medical examiner office in the morning."I just want to know the truth. I pray that it comes out," Joshua Fair said.Originally from Indiana, Joshua Fair and his father had worked together offering webcast weddings to Waikiki hotel guests. It was an idea Larry Fair hit on after watching a couple get married on the beach. Their first wedding had been for a bride whose father was in Iraq and could not be there in person."I love people and I love videography, but what I enjoy the most is bringing people together," Larry Fair told KITV during an interview a few years ago.Joshua Fair said his father had rented a room at the Makiki home for the last year and a half and at one time indicated he was looking to move."There are always issues with roommates, but there was nothing that alarmed me. This was a tragedy that you can't really prepare for," Joshua Fair said.He said his dad rented a room toward the back of the house. Joshua Fair said there was only one way in and out of the area."Where he was at would have made it particularly difficult," he said.A body was found in the room Fair rented. Remains of a second person were found down the hall.Joshua Fair is still in shock over the ordeal and is trying to come to terms with the loss of his dad."Cherish your loved ones and don't take anything for granted," he said. The medical examiner's office said it may not have the confirmed identities of the victims until next week. The fire department is still working to determine if the fire was deliberately set given reports of people arguing at the home a short time before the blaze broke out.
