A jury found Glenn Keohokapu Jr. guilty Monday of manslaughter in the stabbing death of Steven Wilcox.

During the trial, Keohokapu, 36, admitted to stabbing Wilcox, but said Wilcox, 19, was the aggressor. Keohokapu said he and his wife had an argument at a Kaneohe bar and that Wilcox wanted to fight.

Keohokapu said Wilcox still wanted to fight after Keohokapu brandished a knife. Keohokapu's wife testified that she didn't need help from Wilcox during the incident. Witnesses painted Wilcox as a "good Samaritan" trying to help.

Under Hawaii law, the jury did not hear about Keohokapu's criminal record or prior abuse allegations.
