HONOLULU -- The attorney for a man accused of killing another man outside a Kaneohe nightclub admitted that his client killed the victim during his trial, which began on Monday.Glen Keohokapu Jr., 35, killed Steven Wilcox, 19, in self-defense, his attorney said. The stabbing happened outside a Kaneohe nightclub in June after Wilcox intervened while Keohokapu and his wife argued.Wilcox was looking for a "fair fight," the prosecutor said.Defense attorney Benjamin Ignacio said Wilcox frightened Keohokapu with "naked, unexplained aggression." So, he armed himself with a folding knife. At the time of the stabbing, a restraining order was supposed to be keeping the Keohokapus apart.Keohokapu's criminal record goes back 17 years. It includes burglary robbery, assault, abuse of a family member in 1996, parole violations and drug charges that got him five years in prison.
