Council Approves Leasehold Conversion For 3 CondosKamehameha Argued Against CondemnationPOSTED: 9:49 a.m. HST December 5, 2002 HONOLULU -- The Honolulu City Council voted Wednesday night to condemn leasehold conversion on the Admiral Thomas and Camelot condominiums.

"The greater public good will not be served by condemning this land and decreasing the land control of this private landowner," Kamehameha student president Rebecca Soon said.
"We have qualified under the law r the condemnation of Kahala Beach condo for public purpose. We are willing to buy the fee at a fair market price pleas pass resolution 02-300," Kahala Beach Condominium owner Lola Gebauer said.
