Musicians and management of the Honolulu Symphony have agreed to a new three-year collective bargaining agreement.

The base salary for musicians will remain the same for the 2008-2009 season but will increase over the next three years by 12.5 percent. That brings the base pay to more than $40,000 in 2011.

The symphony will continue regular performances as well as educational outreach to the community.
