The Board of Water Supply is asking for residents from Nanakuli to Waianae to limit water use to essentials after a water main break on Wednesday.

The 24-inch main broke on Farrington Highway between Laaloa and Waiomea streets.

Crews will provide Honokai Hale residents with water wagons in their areas.

Crews closed the left town-bound lane. Repairs would not impact afternoon rush-hour traffic into Waianae, BWS officials said.
