A federal judge has rejected plea agreements for two men charged with murder in the Pali Golf Course shooting case.

The decision means that the confessions of Ethan Motta, Kevin Gonzalves and co-defendant Rodney Joseph Jr. will be withdrawn.

The men will now face trial again for the slayings of two gangland rivals at the Pali Golf Course nearly 5 years ago.

Prosecutors said they will continue to negotiate in hopes of reaching a deal that will satisfy everyone.

The rejected plea agreement would have had each man spending about 27 years in prison. Judge Susan Mollway said the men didn’t cooperate enough to justify the lighter sentence.
