Last week VH1 named the sexiest recording artists --- and now the editors of
TV Guide are telling us who they think are the sexiest people of all time on television
The No. 1 slot actually went to two people -- Diana Rigg of the classic series "The Avengers," and George Clooney of "ER."
The list is the latest of the magazine's 50th anniversary celebration. Credentials were for the honor were that the person's sexy image "had to hold up over time."
Rigg, for example is 64. She played Emma Peel in the series from 1965-67.
Rounding out the top 10 were Angie Dickinson, Denzel Washington and Peggy Lipton, Richard Chamberlain, Tom Selleck, Kim Cattrall, Henry Simmons and Farrah Fawcett.
Other stars on the list included Jimmy Smits (No. 17), Heather Locklear (No. 25), David Duchovny (No. 39), Barbara Eden (No. 39) and David Cassidy (No. 47).
"Gilligan's Island" castaway Dawn Wells rounded out the list at No. 50.
