Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped onions
  • 2 medium green bell peppers, coarsely chopped
  • 1-1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 16-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder (more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups dry texturized vegetable protein (TVP)
  • Instructions: Heat the oil and saute the onions and pepper for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over hamburger rolls.
