Hawaiian Airlines' parent company on Wednesday announced it has settled a lawsuit against go! Airlines' parent company for $52.5 million.

A bankruptcy court judge originally awarded Hawaiian Holdings Inc. with $80 million against Mesa Air Group Inc. in October.

The judge found that Mesa misused confidential information that he said was intentionally deleted from the company's executive vice president's laptop after he was told to preserve it for the lawsuit.

On Wednesday, Hawaiian said it settled for a cash payment of $52.5 million.

As part of the settlement, Mesa did not admit any wrongdoing and it does not force go! to halt operations.

Mesa also withdrew its appeal.

Hawaiian Air initially asked for $173 million.

Under the terms of the settlement, Mesa did not admit to any wrongdoing and will continue to operate.
